Warm up 112613 { F i l m S t u d i e s }
As a viewer in the audience today I will ask questions when I have any and listen carefully to the presenter so I can fill in the guided notes they have for us. As a presenter I will present the information that I feel necessary for people to know and understand. I will also present them on information I've found and how cannibalism can be seen in an abstract view in other movies.

Warm Up 112213 { S t u d i e F i l m s }
My goal today is to get started on my cannibalism power point project and finish at the end of the day. I'll work on it today during film studies(if I can) and work on it when I get home so I can finish it right away. I'll research and look for videos on youtube so we can use as an example.

Resourceful places I can use to research about my presentation project is; youtube, websites that don't have a lot of ads. And websites that don't just show a review, but gets into depth with the genre and the movie.

Warm Up 111813 { F i l m S t u d i e s }
My favorite sub-genre of horror films are horror-comedy films. I like how it makes you scared but at the same time you get the feeling where you're like, "Oh, it's okay now. The character is safe". And then all of a sudden things start to happen and you start shouting, "Oh shoot! It's right behind you!". The character will act in a dramatic way or something and you'll start laughing because you're half scared to death for the character. It just makes you go insane sometimes because the monsters could also do funny things to make you laugh. I think characters in horror comedies are smarter than characters in just horror movies and would be able to survive longer. Because even though dumb stuff happens in the movie the main character knows what he/she is doing. They fight the monster rather than just run away all the time. You don't know how much stamina a monster has, you can't just run away forever. You have to beat it up so it can lose some of it's strength to chase you. Though I don't know if that will work with a ghost.

Warm Up 111413 { F i l m S t u d i e s }
Horror is scary because It's meant to scare people and make them paranoid. It can dig into someone's worst fears and make them think about the movie or whatever they're scared of for days. Horror movies are scarier than others because of the graphics or the settings and story. For example old mansions, grave yards, the forest or the walking dead walking all over the earth. In my opinion, horror movies were made to fill in the unknown of a person's mind. A person may fear something, but they don't know what that fear is pointing at. Until they actually see a horror movie and soon figure out that the monster in the movie is their fear. It's like horror movies are made to plant an imaginary dangerous thing that eats up your mind while you're in the basement or alone even. And eventually you'll think about that stuff when you know that you have to be alone or in the dark. Some fear the unknown, some like to (evily) create the unknown for people, and some like to explore the unknown for themselves.

Warm Up 110813 { F i l m S t u d i e s }
I personally don't like horror movies. Because I usually end up cringing and screaming at the people in the movie rather than screaming at the killer or monster. I'm scared but at the same time I'm not because most horror movies today are just a lot of loud music and pop ups. The only horror movie I've ever been really scared of was a Hmong horror movie (forgot what it was called). But either than that horror movies aren't all that as it used to be.
